www.apspsc.go.in Employment NewsThe Andhra Pradesh public service commission (APPSC) is formed on both merging of Andhra and Hyderabad public service commission’s in the year 1956 on November 1st. At present, the APPSC board is governed by a chairman and 9 members who shall take care of the functions enumerated in the article 320 of the Indian constitution. The main function of the APPSC is direct recruitment of personnel for posts like government lecturers, engineers, doctors, forest officers, deputy collectors, clerks and police officers. The APPSC is also responsible for other actions like recruitment by transfer, taking action following statutory rules relating to services and disciplinary cases, setting regulations for reimbursement of legal expenses and wound & extraordinary pension cases in accordance with different constitutional articles.

APPSC Application Process

Candidates willing to apply for the APPSC Lecturer Posts please read official notification carefully and after satisfied with their eligibility they can visit www.apspsc.gov.in and download the fee payment challan by filling up the basic details like name, date of birth etc. and make fee payment in any AP online centres or any of the State Bank of India branches. From the very next working day you can apply online again by visiting www.apspsc.gov.in from 12th November to 9th December, 2012.

APPSC Selection Process

The selection of the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic college Lecturer posts is made through a written test comprising of multiple objective type questions based on their concern subject and general studies. The written examination is conducted by APPSC in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Warangal cities. After successfully qualifying the written test they have to face an interview. Upon clearing these two tests they will be posted according to their concerned discipline.

APPSC is also further entrusted with responsibilities of conducting departmental tests for various departments, examination for admission to RIMC, Dehradun, Watching of temporary appointments exceeding 3 months and according concurrence for their continuance, Half yearly examination for IAS and IPS Officers and proficiency tests for AIS Officers, Consultation in cases of appointment of contract extending over 5 years.
