of Postal Assistants /Sorting Assistants / Postal Assistant Returned Letter
Office / Postal Assistant Mail Motor Service, Postal Assistant (Foreign
Post Organisation) and Postal Assistant (SBCO) job vacancies. Maharashtra post published
recruitment 2012 notification for it and the last date of receipt of
applications is 1st October, 2012.

Academic Qualifications: 10+2 with not less
than 60% marks (SC/ST 45%, OBC 55%) with English as a compulsory subject.

Application Process:
Candidates
keeping interest for the above Sorting Assistants jobs can obtain the
application forms with brochure from any of the Head post offices or identified
post offices of Maharashtra Postal Circle on payment of Rs.50/- . A sum of
Rs.200/- is also to be paid in the form of examination fee in any post office
of the circle and a take receipt called ACG-67/UCR. Reserved candidates need not to pay any
examination fee. After filling the
application form carefully it should be sent along with fee receipt and other
credentials to “Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi – 110 001” through
SPEED POST/REGISTERED POST OF INDIA POST only” so as to reach latest by 1st October, 2012.
Selection Process:
The
selection of postal assistants and sorting assistants is done through an
aptitude test for 100 marks comprising of Part-A (general knowledge), Part-b
(Mathematics), Part-C (English) and Part-D (Reasoning ability) carries out 25
marks each.
The
second test is Computer / Typing test in which the candidates have to type 450
words in English or 375 words in Hindi within 30 minutes.
After
qualifying these two examinations with the minimum 40% marks (SC/ST 33%, OBC
38%) in each subject the candidates are selected depending upon the merit list.
