www.vijayabank.com Recruitment 2012 of 800 Probationary Clerks.


Vijaya Bank was established in 1931 at Mangalore with the objective to promote banking habits, savings among the formers in Karnataka State. It was named as Vijaya Bank due to it was established during Vijayadashami. The bank became a scheduled bank in 1958 and was nationalized in 1980. At present Vijaya Bank has 1300 branches with 750 ATMs spread across all over India. It’s official website is www.vijayabank.com.

Vijaya Bank is inviting online applications from interested bank job seekers who have taken IBPS Common Written Examination 2011 for Clerks, and have a qualified score, for the employment of 800 Probationary Clerk jobs (including backlog vacancies) in all the 28 states of India. The last date to apply online is 5th September, 2012.

Probationary Clerk: 800 (SC-210, ST-149, OBC-108, GEN-333)
Pay Scale              : Rs. 7200-19300
Age between         : 18 to 28 years
Academic Qualifications: 10th class or equivalent with 60% marks OR intermediate (10+2) with 50% marks OR Graduation OR Diploma in Banking

IBPS Score: the required IBPS Total Weighted score varies from state to state.

The required IBPS score for each subject is 24 and above for General and 21 & above or reserved categories

Application Process: interested candidates meeting the Vijaya Bank’s recruitment standards can log on to www.vijayabank.com and have to download the fee payment challan. After filling up the challan with all the necessary particulars such as IBPS registration number, name and date of birth etc. payment can be made in any of the nearest branches of Vijaya Bank. Upon payment of fee the candidate again have to visit Vijaya Bank’s website and apply online from 16th August to 5th September, 2012.

Selection Process: depending upon the merit in the IBPS score the candidates are called for interview. Interview is conducted to review the candidate’s capability, emotional stability and personality, and marks allotted accordingly. Candidates have to score at least 40 marks out 100. Final selection is made on the basis of interview marks and IBPS score of the candidarte.
