Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting online applications through www.upsconline.nic.in from eligible and competent unmarried male and female candidates for the Combined Defence Services Examination (1) 2014. It released EXAMINATION NOTICE NO.01/2014-CDS-I for it in Employment news paper and some important websites and the closing date for online applications is 2nd December, 2013. It is good job opportunity for aspirants who want their career in defense.

Indian Military Academy (Dehradun)– 250 vacancies
Age Limit: Born between 2nd January 1991 and 1st January, 1996
Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline

Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala) – 40 vacancies
Age Limit: Born between 2nd January 1992 and 1st January 1996
Educational Qualifications: B.E / B.Tech

Air Force Academy (Hyderabad)– 32 vacancies
Age Limit: Born between 2nd January 1992 and 1st January 1996
Educational Qualifications: B.E / B.Tech or B.Sc. with Math and Physics at 10+2 level

Officers Training Academy (SSC Course For men) (Chennai) – 175 vacancies
Age Limit: Born between 2nd January 1990 and 1st January 1996
Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline

Online Application Process for UPSC CDSE 2014:

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by the UPSC for the CDS Examination 2014 can visit www.upsconline.nic.in to apply online from 2nd November to 2nd December, 2013.

UPSC CDSE Selection Process: The selection of aforesaid courses is done through Written Test (Combined Defence Services Examination 2013). Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for Intelligence and Personality test. After qualifying these stages they will be admitted to the above courses.

UPSC CDSE Examination Pattern: There will be 3 papers in it. Total marks 300. English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics each carries out 100 marks. Exam duration is 2 hours for each subject. There will be no Elementary mathematics for Officer’s Training Academy.
