Total Vacancies : 375
National Defence Academy: 320 (ARMY -208, NAVY- 42, Air Force-70)
Naval Academy : 55 (10+2 Cadet Entry scheme)
Age Limit: applicants should be born between 2nd July 1996 and 1st July 1999.
Educational Qualifications: 10+2 or equivalent. Mathematics and Physics passed in intermediate are required for all defence forces except Army.
Physical measurements : height should be 162.5 for Air force and 157.5 for Army and Navy.
UPSC NDA and NA Examination -2015 Application Process
Candidates are advised to check carefully their suitability for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) -2015. After ensuring their eligibility they can apply online by visiting www.upsconline.nic.in from 27th December, 2014 to 23rd January, 2015. The eligible candidates are issued an e-Admission certificate to attend the examination just before 3 weeks before the examination. This e-Admission certificate can be downloaded from www.upsc.gov.in or www.upsconline.nic.in.
What is the Selection process of NDA & Naval Academy?
Selection of NDA is done in three phases.
Stage 1: Written test. This contains mathematics questions for 300 marks and general ability for test for 600 marks.
Stage 2: Interview (Intelligence and Personality Test) for 900 marks.
Stage 3: Medical Examination.
Written test: The NDA written test is conducted in English medium in objective type. There is negative marking for wrong answers. Those qualified in the written exam are eligible for the interview. Those who are qualified in interview are sent for the medical examination. Candidates who have qualified in the fitness test are than selected to join the course.
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. They should meet the physical parameters set by the board.
