With new changes in SPP visa rules now the students have to pay their 1 year college fees in advance to their Canada University or college.  Similarly to cover their living expenses in Canada they need to show bank loan as proof of funds or can deposit their money into a bank account that is specially designated for this purpose well in advance which releases the funds periodically during your stay in Canada for the education.
