The
youth are very much excited to find a job in Indian space research
organization (ISRO). So it is very natural that one gets a doubt as to how
to join in ISRO or how to get a job in ISRO and the eligibility criteria to get selected for the job in the
prestigious organization. However one can almost make their dreams come true and can get a job in ISRO by
getting an admission in Indian Institute of space science technology (IIST)
which is located nearby Thiruvanathapuram that is affiliated to the Indian Space
Research Organization.
This
IIST is constructed and established near Valiamala in 100 acres space in 2007,
which is 18 kilometers away to Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala state. Here education
with highest standards is offered and is specifically established to
create job opportunities for youth in the department of space (DOS) / ISRO.

Courses
like B.Tech, M. Tech and PhD programs are offered in this institution IIST.
Major priority is given to space science and space technology courses. In

How to get admission in B.Tech in IIST?
One
can get admission into aerospace, avionics, physical science and engineering
courses for the year 2013-2014. These are all four years duration courses.
Those
who have achieved at least 5% marks in every subject of physics, chemistry and
math’s in JEE (advanced) along with an aggregate of 20% marks are
qualified for minimum eligibility. These candidates shall be considered for the
selection list.
Admissions
are offered based on 60% marks in JEE (mains) and 40% normalized marks in
intermediate.

Everything is free after admission in IIST
If
one gets admission into IIST the students are offered everything free of cost
right from their accommodation to text books and notes that are provided by the
organization itself. The Professor M.Y.S Prasad of Satish Davan Space Center SHAR
has mentioned that no fees are charged.
However
at the time of admission in Institute of Space Science Technology one has to
write a bond that they shall work in ISRO for 5 years and those who have
achieved only above 65% marks on completion of the course are eligibly for the
ISRO recruitment process.

According
to the government regulations SC, ST, OBC (belonging to NCL) are eligible for
