Indian Overseas Bank, a government of India undertaking is inviting online applications against the recruitment of 480 Probationary Officer vacancies. Employment news is released about this recruitment 2013 in www.iob.in and www.employment-news-today.com. The last date of registration for these posts is 29th July, 2013.

The selected candidates will be admitted in 1 year post graduate diploma in Banking and Finance course in Indian Overseas Bank Manipal School of Banking (IOBMSB). After successful completion of this programme they will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance by Manipal University and then will be induced as probationary officers in Indian Overseas Bank.

Total Posts to be recruited: 480

Probationary Officers: 480 (SC-72, ST-36, OBC-129, Gen-243)
Age Limit: 18 to 28 years (Age relaxation as per extent rules)
Scale: 14500 - 600 /7 – 18700 - 700/2 - 20100 - 800/7 - 25700
Education: Graduation with not less than 60% marks. 55% marks are enough for reserved candidates (SC / ST /OBC).

Selection Process of Indian Overseas Bank

Indian Overseas Bank does not accept IBPS Score. It conducts a separate online examination to recruit it’s probationary officers. The candidates who qualify the online written examination will be called for personal interview and then finally be selected.

Candidates should remember there are penalty marks in IOB online examination for probationary officers.

Application Fee in this recruitment

Rs. 500 for General and OBC and Rs. 50 for reserved categories (SC/ST/PC). Fee can be paid with the fee payment challan that can be downloaded from www.iob.in after entering their basic details.

After payment of application fee through any branches of Indian Overseas Bank, candidates can apply online using the fee payment details by visiting www.iob.in careers link from 10th July to 29th July, 2013. Upon submitting online application take a print out of system generated application form to produce at the time of interview along with fee payment receipt.
