UPSC - Union Public Service Commission is inviting online applications for the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2015. Examination Notice No. 5/2015-GEOL is published in www.upsc.gov.in. This exam is conducted every year by UPSC for the recruitment of geo-scientists and geologists in Geological Survey of India and Central Ground Water Board. Geophysicist, Group-A: 40
Chemist, Group-A: 50
Age Limit: 21 to 32 years
Central Ground Water Board:
Jr. Hydro geologists (Scientist-B): 29 Posts
Age Limit: 21 to 35 years
Educational Qualifications: post-graduation in geological science / Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Science or Resource Management / Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies / Petroleum Geosciences / Petroleum exploration / Geochemistry / Geological Technology / Geophysical technology / Chemistry.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination - Application Process:
Candidates possessing the eligibility as mentioned above can apply for UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination, 2015 through www.upsconline.nic.in. The last date for registration is 20th March, 2014.
Scheme of Examination: Written Test (600 Marks) -> Interview (200 marks)
